Masterclasses & Breakouts

At Gathering 2025, we’ve created space for you to dive deeper into the areas that matter most in your faith and leadership journey. On Friday, you’ll have the opportunity to choose from a range of Masterclasses designed to speak to the season you’re in. These sessions are honest, practical, and full of faith.

Across the weekend, you’ll also find optional breakout sessions during meal and break times. These are moments to gather around specific areas like missions, marketplace, creativity, and youth, with voices who are living it and leading in it. Some sessions include catering, so be sure to let us know if you plan to attend.

To help us allocate rooms and cater appropriately, please take a moment to let us know which masterclasses and optional breakout sessions you plan to attend at Gathering. This won’t lock you in, it just helps us prepare to make your experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

Day One: 3-4PM
NEW SONGS FOR A NEW DAY
LOCATION: (OUTSIDE MARQUEE)
with Mitch Wong, Dustin Smith, Hannah Hobbs & Darlene Zschech
This is a masterclass for worshippers, songwriters, and every leader who longs to bring fresh life through song. Together, Mitch, Hannah, Dustin and Darlene will speak into the call of the worship leader, the role of songs in building faith, and how we write and release new sounds for the new day we’re living in.
LEADERSHIP AND SEASONS
LOCATION: MAIN AUDITORIUM
with Ps Wayne Alcorn, Ps Mark Zschech plus Ps Jess Bruce & Ps Austin Ward
In this relaxed and honest conversation, Ps Wayne, Mark, Jess and Austin share what it looks like to lead through the different seasons of life and ministry. They’ll speak to the season we’re all walking through, how to lead well in the middle of it, and how to keep moving forward with wisdom and grace.
ANXIETY IN A REFLECTIVE WORLD
LOCATION: COURTYARD
with Barney & Erica Weir
Our world is more aware than ever of mental health, but what is the Church’s place in that conversation? In this honest and practical session, Barney and Erica explore how we minister to a world shaped by anxiety and reflection, and how the hope of Jesus remains steady in it all.

💼 MARKETPLACE – with David Balestri, Rob & Susanna Bateman & Aaron Sanders (Friday 4pm).

Be equipped to lead, serve and influence with kingdom purpose in business and beyond.

🎨 CREATIVE with Luke Taylor, Pip Ward, Don Barro & Hannah Hobbs (Saturday 8am, includes a light breakfast).

Gather with creatives for inspiration, community and fresh perspective on creating with God.
SATURDAY LUNCH: 12PM
🔥 YOUTH – with Austin Ward (Saturday 12pm - BYO lunch).
LOCATION: MARQUEE
A fun and fiery session for youth leaders and those passionate about the next generation.
